What Is A Lash Lift & Tint?
A lash lift and tint is a cosmetic treatment that involves curling and tinting the eyelashes to enhance their appearance. The procedure involves using a special solution ( I use natural plant based extracts) to curl the lashes, followed by tinting to darken them. This creates the illusion of longer, thicker, and more dramatic lashes without the need for mascara or lash extensions. Although, you can still wear mascara, no problem skat!
After the treatment, it is important to avoid getting the lashes wet for at least 24 hours to ensure that the curl sets properly. YOU CAN DO IT! Also try not to sleep squishing your lashes for the first night. Sounds like a lot of admin, but it really isn’t…
How Long Is The Procedure?
The lash lift and tint procedure typically takes around 40 minutes to complete (depending on your artist wink wink) and the results can last up to 6-8 weeks, depending on the individual’s lash growth cycle. This means that your natural lashes fall out and regrow naturally even without a lash lift between 6-8 weeks….This is the cycle of lashes which is quite interesting.
What You Can Expect
- Consultation: Online forms to be filled out, to establish any allergies or skin conditions and eye conditions.
- Preparation: Please if possible do not wear any mascara before the procedure. We need a clean canvas to work from.
- Lash Lift: A natural, plant based perming solution will be applied to your lashes for a couple of minutes, which will help to lift and curl them. Your esthetician will use a small tool to curl your lashes around a silicone rod or shield,which will determine the lift. The solution will be left on for a few minutes before being removed. The setting solution will also be applied for a few minutes.
- Tinting: A lash tint will be applied to your lashes to darken them and give them more definition. The tint will be left on for a few minutes before being removed. The tint gives your lashes a boost of color, however in cases where you have black lashes it is not necessary to opt for a tint. The choice is ultimately yours.
- Aftercare: Try to avoid oil based products around the eyes and getting them wet for 24 hours.

It sounds like a lot of work, it really isn’t, use a Micellar water for makeup remover and you are fine. It is also important to avoid rubbing or pulling at the lashes, as this can cause damage and premature shedding, even under circumstances when you did not get a lash lift, it’s best not to fiddle, pull or wipe across the eyelashes.
How Often Can You Do a Lash Lift & Tint?
Lash Lift & Tints usualy lasts as long as your natural lash growth cycle. Of course the products you use will also effect the longevity of the lift.
